The crisp air fills my lungs. I am alive. I am better than yesterday and ready for today. There is no tomorrow. Not yet.
I take a step, You are right behind me to watch after me. I smile, You make the nature share my feelings by sending a warm breeze. I cry, You send warm sun beams to touch my soul and help me go on. You send a raindrop on my rose cheek, I lift my hand up in the air and wish I could wave goodbye to the cotton like skies.
I turned 17. I embraced myself in almost every way possible. You were there.
Like the photographer in the shadow, capturing moments soon to be melancholic memories.
Like a mother bird, afraid of the baby’s fall but aware of the independence he has to gain.
So here I am. I spread my wings and take myself higher. I no longer look back for regrets.
I no longer look back. You are right in front of me. Life is right in front of me.
